Srinagar, January 18 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with UDAY Foundation and NDTV continues the campaign to help the poor and needy persons of the valley. This initiative of police is launched by the directions of Additional Director General of Police Shri Munir Ahmad Khan. During this campaign, more than 3000 blankets were distributed among the attendants and patients in four hospitals of Srinagar, who were facing the chilling cold weather. The distribution was aimed for attendants and patients at various hospitals of Kashmir Valley. The blankets were also distributed in PET Children’s home in Sopore. Deputy Inspector General of Police CKR Shri Ghulam Hassan Bhat distributed the blankets among the attendants and patients at CD Hospital Drugjan. DIG North Kashmir Shri V.K Birdi who was accompanied by SSP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh distributed blankets and footwear among the inmates at People’s Educational Trust (PET) Children’s Home Chakrodikhan, Sopore, SSP Srinagar Shri Imtiyaz Ismail Parry distributed the blankets among the patients and attendants at Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla. SDPO West Shri Furqan Qadir and SDPO Shaheed Gunj Shri Amrat Pal Singh distributed the blankets among the attendants and patients at JVC Hospital Srinagar and SMHS Hospital respectively. The campaign will continue and will also be held in other districts of the valley so as to reach the maximum of poor and needy persons.(KNO)
